Community Foundation of Will County Grant, Pathways to Professions Grant Manager
Interim Vice President of Administrative Affairs
When I had the need for an interim Vice President for Administrative Affairs, I immediately thought of Dr. Mitchell. She provided strong leadership not only to the Administrative Affairs Division but also wise counsel to me and was a trusted Senior Level Cabinet Member. Dr. Mitchell also graciously agreed to continue to serve Oakton as the chief negotiator for a contract with our full-time faculty. Dr. Mitchell is a thoughtful, collaborative leader. Joi Smith, President
INTERIM CFO
I engaged Dr. Judy Mitchell to help my institution go through a significant transition within our budget and finance area. There were also many parts of our operation that needed to be completely redesigned to meet state deadlines and to model best practices. I knew about the depth of her professional experience in finance and administration, as well as her service as a College President, and I knew she was the person we needed to 'right' our financial ship. She first worked with our institutional effectiveness areas in the design of our new four-year strategic plan. She then took a leadership role in my Cabinet as our Interim CFO, where she took a deep dive into our policies, procedures, and practices. She expertly assessed our current state, and quickly came up with dozens of recommendations and process improvements that we are now implementing with our new permanent CFO and Controller. She acted promptly, professionally, and with a sincere care for our culture and the people in it. Dr. Mitchell is a skilled leader, communicator, and strategic thinker, and when coupled with her technical skills in her field, it makes her the ideal partner across a range of institutional needs. Dr. Michael Anthony, President
